The management and staff of Rohanou Boutique Resort and Ecolodge are committed to maintaining the hotel and its surroundings as a suitable and safe place, where ethical, economic and quality standards are provided to the people concerned (employees and the local community), and the preservation of cultural heritage and wildlife is ensured. Therefore, Rohanou Boutique Resort and Ecolodge is committed to establishing a sustainable management policy through the following actions:

In our hotel

We implement a sustainable management policy that takes into account economic, quality, health and safety issues in accordance with the legal requirements of our hotel and its surroundings and everyone involved or affected by our actions.
The hotel complies with all applicable local and international legislation and regulations.
Everyone, especially local residents, women and minorities if any, has an equal opportunity for employment, including management positions.
We avoid commercial exploitation (such as the use of illegal child labor) and non-commercial exploitation (such as sexual harassment or exploitation), especially of children and adolescents and discrimination against women, and therefore pay all employees an adequate wage that allows them to earn a living
We respect the national legal protection of all our employees.
We respect local and indigenous communities (such as Bedouins), including their intellectual and property rights. We also respect the water rights of all traditional communities.

We protect local properties and sites of historical, archaeological, cultural or spiritual significance.

Wildlife that has been hunted or protected is only kept by authorized persons, in appropriate circumstances and where permitted by local and international law.

Hotel activities do not adversely impact

the provision of basic water, energy, food, health and sanitation services to local communities.

Access to land, water resources, rights of way, transportation, housing, and historical, archaeological, cultural and spiritual sites of local communities.

We ensure that all property rights, land and water used in the hotel premises have been obtained in accordance with local, community and indigenous rights, including their free, prior and informed consent.

We ensure that no forced settlement of residents occurs during the development/expansion of the hotel.

We are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all our guests. Our accessible rooms are carefully designed to meet the needs of individuals with special needs, ensuring comfort, safety and well-being.

Hotel Facilities:

– Wheelchair access is available on the street and in the parking lots.
-Wheelchairs are available for guests upon request.
-Private bathrooms are available (handrails for toilets, low level –washbasin, wide doors and space for wheelchairs).
-Luggage assistance is provided.
-Private rooms are available and equipped with bathroom facilities (accessible shower in the bathroom, handrails and wide doors).
-The hotel has a building with ramps for wheelchair users to ensure easy access.
-The hotel corridors are wheelchair accessible.
-The swimming pool floors are wheelchair accessible.
-All of the hotel’s restaurants have ramps for wheelchair users to ensure easy access.

The name “Rohanou” is inspired by the geographic location, and significant historical reference to the old Egyptian name of the old caravan route between Luxor and Quseir, from the River Nile to the Red Sea.
